The first physical step on any site is to clear and grub the land. ACPLM removes brush, debris, and any old structures. We do more than just cut down trees. We pull out the stumps and roots so they do not rot under your future parking lot.

If organic material is left in the ground, it will eventually break down and cause the pavement to sink.

Hillsborough County has thick vegetation that can hide old concrete or trash. ACPLM clears all of this away to give you a clean slate.

Underground Utilities

Before we can pave a private road or parking lot, we have to look underground. ACPLM installs the pipes and systems that keep your property running.

This includes storm drains, sewer lines, and water mains. In Florida, managing water is the biggest challenge for any builder. Hillsborough County gets heavy rain almost every afternoon in the summer.

Excavation

Excavation is the process of moving large amounts of earth to shape the land. ACPLM uses heavy machinery to dig out retention ponds and level the building pads. We do not just move dirt around. We follow detailed engineering plans to make sure every inch of the property is at the right height.

Subgrade and Base Preparation

ACPLM prepares the subgrade by packing the natural soil down tight.

Site Readiness for Asphalt and Concrete

The final step of sitework is making sure the land is ready for the final surface. ACPLM checks the grading one last time. We make sure the water will flow toward the drains and not toward your building. This final check is where we look for any low spots or soft areas.

We also focus on ADA compliance during this stage. If the dirt is not at the correct slope, the finished concrete ramps will not be legal.
